Wonderful time at Pitlochry Hostel. Every one of our group (we had an exclusive hire) was full of praise. The one sixteen year old with us said "This place should get five stars on TripAdvisor".The location is glorious, the venue is great, and the maintenance is top notch. The hostel manager is helpfulness personified... and we even got sunshine (in February!)We'll definitely be back.Shonagh

Pitlochry Youth Hostel is very cosy and comfortable. The rooms feel more like hotel rooms than hostel rooms, very spacious, very comfortable and so nice to have an en suite in every room. The views from the windows are stunning, like a picture postcard, and it's very handy to be able to get the train there.Guest Review

I had a fabulous stay in Pitlochry to see The Enchanted Forest, finally. Three of us returned the same month as earlier in October the event was cancelled two days running due to Storm Babet. The staff were incredible on both occasions and the hostel very well run. I would recommend the Pitlochry Youth Hostel to lone travelers, couples, groups and anyone wanting a doggie friendly stay. I'm already booked in for October next year and may head that way beforehand. Highly recommended.Guest Review

What a great hostel. The manager, Susan, is so welcoming and helpful and Pitlochry is a fantastic town to spend a wee holiday in. We are a party of over 40 and it is the perfect venue for our annual gathering. Planning to book for next year alreadyMay Mayberry

Reasons to visit
Pitlochry sits in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Easily accessible by train and bus, it's ideally situated for touring Highland Perthshire.
Set amidst hills, lochs and woodland, Pitlochry makes a superb base for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to explore the area's numerous walking and cycle routes.
The famous salmon ladder, Blair Castle, Blair Atholl Distillery and the Queen's View are not to be missed and Pitlochry Festival Theatre, known affectionately as the "Theatre in the Hills", offers a varied and exciting programme of events throughout the year.
Using the forest as a natural backdrop "The Enchanted Forest" in nearby Faskally Wood is a lighting show that is quite simply out of this world. Each October the autumn woodland is transformed into one of Scotland's premier light and sound experiences that dazzles and delights. Unmissable.
